Frequently Asked Questions

1. Booking a Safari or Adventure

How do I book a trip?

You can book directly through our website, via email, or by calling our friendly travel experts. Once you get in touch, one of our consultants will work with you to design a tailor-made itinerary that fits your interests, preferences, and budget.

Is payment required to confirm a booking?

Yes. A 50% deposit is required to secure your reservation. The remaining balance will depend on the payment schedules of the accommodations included in your itinerary.

Is it cheaper to book directly with lodges?

Not necessarily. Prices are standard across the industry, and booking through us offers added benefits such as personalized service, assistance with logistics, and flexible support.

2. Travel Requirements

Do I need a visa?

Yes. All foreign visitors (except EAC member states) must apply for an **Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA)** before arrival. Apply only through the official site: [www.etakenya.go.ke](http://www.etakenya.go.ke). Apply at least 72 hours before departure. Parents or guardians must apply for minors.

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering health emergencies, trip cancellations, and medical evacuation.

Do I need vaccinations?

A Yellow Fever certificate is required if traveling from affected areas. Recommended vaccinations include Typhoid, Hepatitis A/B, and Polio. Malaria prophylaxis is advised. Consult a travel health clinic 4–6 weeks before travel.

What if there’s a medical emergency on safari?

Emergency evacuation can be arranged through AMREF/Flying Doctors. We recommend purchasing this coverage prior to travel.

3. Payments

Can I use a credit card?

Yes. Visa and Mastercard (with embossed numbers) are widely accepted. It’s also advisable to carry some cash for local purchases.

Is international airfare included in your packages?

No, international flights are not included. Many travelers prefer to use their own arrangements, such as frequent flyer miles. However, we’re happy to help you find the best flight options.

Are local flights included?

Yes, all domestic transport during your safari, including local flights, is included in your package.
